This painting was inspired by the beautiful purple jacarandas in Spring and the noisy miner who came to see what I was doing. It was painted Alla Prima (wet in wet) and from life. I have uploaded a video of how I painted it to YouTube.
This painting would look fantastic hung salon style with other paintings, or would be just as happy and lovely in a cosy nook. It is detailed and a wonderful piece for those who appreciate fine, small-scale art work.
