This is a limited edition Giclée print on rag paper, hand signed and numbered, it's of my oil painting, The Emerald City.
This painting is part of my exploration of our resilience to climate change. Like Dorothy in
Oz, I found myself transported by a catastrophic weather event, and after the storm, my
mountain home was covered with fuzzy-armed, emerald regrowth. I once heard Philip
Bacon say that Margaret Olley’s favourite colour was green - the colour of life. Looking at
the changed landscape, I felt how true those words are. Nature shows the way when the
world feels scary. I can choose to keep growing, keep hoping, keep trying, keep resisting.
The original painting was a finalist in the Lethbridge 20000 prize, in 2025.
A4 size print, 210 × 297 mm or 8.3 × 11.7 inches.
Packed in a cello sleeve with backing cardboard.
